Valerie Walker

Valerie Walker, CRNP, FNP is originally from Tucson, Arizona, where she earned her undergraduate degree in psychology from the University of Arizona. After serving in the United

States Air Force, Valerie pursued her nursing education, earning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing through Wright State University’s accelerated BEACON Program. She has extensive clinical experience across a wide range of specialties, including adult ophthalmologic and gastrointestinal surgery, pediatric acute care, and adult urgent care. During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, Valerie served as charge nurse for the COVID care unit at USA Hospital, providing leadership and support during a critical period in healthcare.

Valerie earned her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of South Alabama and has dedicated more than 20 years to the nursing profession as an advanced practice provider. In recognition of her commitment and impact, she was named the inaugural recipient of WKRG’s Nurses Week Award in 2022. Outside of her professional role, Valerie is an avid reader and lives in Mobile with her husband, four children, and two very relaxed dogs.
